Model 6200

The Model 6200 is a patented mid-mount, dual placement, strip-till applicator available in widths of 20' (8-row), 30' (12-row), and 40' (16-row) on 30" row spacings only. By dual placement we mean, the applicator is capable of applying two products down at the same time. The 6200 comes standard with an extendable rear hitch for pulling an anhydrous nurse tank for applying anhydrous while also applying the liquid or dry fertilizer.

What sets the 6200 apart from the competition is the ability to carry the fertilizer (dry or liquid) right on the bar itself. This feature makes it easy for maneuvering around in the field - backing into a corner (backs like a two wheel cart) and maneuvering in tight spaces. Most competitor toolbars use a pull-between cart for the fertilizer and can be difficult for backing up to attach a nurse tank - you wind up with a long train in the field - i.e. tractor, pull-between, toolbar, and the nurse tank. Try backing that into a corner or turning around in a very tight area! There is also very little or no drifting on slopes with a 6200 unlike a "train" in the field would do.

Model 6200 - Dry

A 6-ton poly dry box with an auger metering system is standard for this bar. We use the Newmatics metering system. The system meters the same amount of fertilizer to each of the ports at the bottom of the tank. Normally you have the same number of ports on the tank as the number of shanks on the bar. The fan, which is controlled by a hydraulic motor, then blows the fertilizer directly to each shank. Competitor dry fertilizer systems meter the fertilizer into a large tube and then the fertilizer is blown into a "bonnet" type manifold (which sets approximately tank high) and from the bonnet to each individual row. This type of system can cause inaccuracy in the amount of fertilizer that is delivered to each row - especially when running on hillsides (fertilizer tends to travel to the area of least resistance). The dry box is mounted directly over the transport axle which allows only the toolbar with the row units to raise - not the load! The 6200 Dry is available with flat-fold row markers and a variety of row units - Edge-Bent (shear-bolt style), Auto-Reset, or the Parallel Linkage Models: Row Pro 300 Combo, Row Pro 300 Standard, or Row Pro 300 Auto-Reset.

Model 6200 - Liquid

The 6200 Liquid Applicator is available with either a 1000 gallon or a 1600 gallon tank. Product is metered by a John Blue Single or Double Piston Pump. A hydraulic pump for variable rates is also available with a TeeJet Metering System or the pump can be purchased separately and tied into other types of metering systems. The 1000 gallon tank is mounted over the 6200's transport axle and the 1600 gallon tank is mounted on a cart that attaches to the 6200 framework right over the transport axle. The rear wheels of the cart steer with the applicator to stay in the applicator's wheel tracks. The 6200 - 1600 uses 13.6 x 38 12 ply tires/wheels to carry the load. With the 1000 or 1600 gallon tank mounted over the transport wheels the only part of the bar raising or lowering is the toolbar with the row units itself - Not the load! Model 7200

Progressive's Model 7200 is a heavy-duty, front-folding, toolbar. The front-folding allows for a narrower transport width versus the standard vertical fold toolbars. The 7200 is available in working widths of 30' (12-row), 40' (16-row), and 60' (24-row). The 7200 can be used as and anhydrous toolbar, liquid applicator, or as a dry fertilizer applicator. It is available with a rear hitch for pulling nurse tanks, liquid carts (such as Progressive's Tri-Wheel Cart with a 1000 gallon tank), or a dry box cart (Tri-Wheel Cart or the Montag System). We do have a dry box available in 12, 16, and 24 row versions. The 7200 is also available with flat-fold row markers and a variety of row units - Edge-Bent (shear-bolt style), Auto-Reset, or the Parallel Linkage Models: Row Pro 300 Combo, Row Pro 300 Standard, and Row Pro 300 Auto-Reset.
